Pop-up Experience and Design Award
The Pop-Up Experience and Design Award recognizes a retailer or corporate brand entity that demonstrates an innovative, original and visually enticing in-store or out of store experience with the goal of increasing brand awareness, testing a new store concept and/or driving sales to an existing location.
Whether it is a new store with a new design/layout concept, an existing store that has been completely renovated or the implementation of strategies which may include but not limited to design, unique site location and/or social media promotions. The Pop-Up Store experience may also include the development of the exterior of the space, which could be a store, kiosk, event or promotion activation would also include the interior design of the space. The Pop-Up Experience should incorporate corporate branding and target market needs into the design/layout and demonstrate how this design/experience has driven sales, increased brand awareness and/or increased consumer engagement regarding the retailer or corporate brand entity.
CONTENT REQUIREMENTS FOR CASE STUDY:
Introduction (100 Words)
Please include the following in your response:
- Name of retailer or corporate brand entity
- Name & location of pop-up experience & design
- Name of interior designer/architect/partner/supplier (if applicable)
- Summary of pop-up store experience & design initiative
Needs and Objectives (300-500 Words) – 20%
Please include the following in your response:
- Discuss the needs of the initiative
- A complete description of the initiative’s target market
- Describe the objectives of the initiative
Program Details & Results (600-1000 Words) – 70%
Please include the following in your response:
- Outline the creative execution of the Pop-Up experience & design from concept to completion
- Demonstrate that the initiatives deployed were innovative, visually enticing and engaged consumers. Explain how the retailer or corporate brand entity resonated with the consumer increased brand awareness and/or drove sales to the location through other marketing strategies such as websites or social media.
- Describe how the retail or corporate entity, traffic flow, target market needs, etc. were incorporated into the experience & design and how they ultimately aided in achieving the initiatives goals.
- Describe the material or elements used in each component of the design and how the design was consistent with the overall brand image.
- Explain the collaboration of both internal and external stakeholders.
- Describe the details of the location for the pop-up experience and should the location not be a traditional in-mall or in store experience, what additional permitting or requirements were needed to achieve the end results.
- Outline the resources, budget and timelines assigned to the initiative. Explain how these resources were effectively used, budget targets maintained and timelines achieved.
- Describe how the initiative was to be evaluated and if the plan met the assessed needs, if all components were delivered and if the overall objectives were achieved.
- Elaborate on any other elements that you would like to highlight about the initiative
